The unit aims to make field estimates of local conflict issues in the Egyptian community through studying its main maps, regarding its parties, causes and dynamics. This is to come up with multifaceted solutions and recommendations for those conflicts.
This is in addition to providing consultancy to political decision-making circles in Egypt, those supporting the promotion of harmony among groups/movements and the state’s institutions with different views. In this regards, RCMD accomplished group of field estimates regarding conflict transformation in Assiut and Qena, in Upper Egypt.
In addition to exploring the role of customary reconciliation committees in conflict transformation, RCMD has also made other estimates on democratization issues, especially regarding the role of youth and women in public sphere and developing the rules of procedures of the Egyptian parliament.
